Unique Valentine’s Day Date Ideas

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and the dinner reservations are pouring in! But if you’re not big on the traditional “dinner and movie” date, we have a couple of great ideas for couples that like to venture more off the beaten path. In this blog, we will be sharing unique Valentine’s date ideas.

  1. Roller Skating/Blading

If you’re looking for something a little bit out of the ordinary, throw it back and try venturing to your local skating rink! This a fun and goofy activity to do with your partner, especially if both of you struggle with skating.

Once you get the hang of it, skating can be a fun activity that both of you can try while also getting some exercise. If neither of you knows how to skate, learning how to do something together can forge a long-term bond.

  1. Rock Climbing

This is a great way to get competitive! Rock climbing is a fun way to challenge your partner and to get active. Whether you’re bouldering or roped in, it’s fun to try and push yourself, and each other.

It’s great to see who can try and get to the top first. But don’t forget to stay hydrated! HYDAWAY bottles have a handy clip that can easily fit a carabiner, so you can keep it clipped on your pack while climbing.

  1. Lindy Hopping

Swing dancing is a very fun and social dance that’s easy to pick up and learn. Most social swing dancing sessions offer a basic lesson before beginning the social dance. Learning a new dance with your partner, and then being able to test it out afterward is fun and exciting!

Since lindy hopping is such a social dance, this gives you and your partner the opportunity to dance and socialize with other people. This is a fun and upbeat way to work up a sweat, listen to great music, and learn something new.

  1. Go-Kart Racing

Going back to the competitive side, go-kart racing is a fun way to challenge your partner. Most go-kart locations will offer the proper safety equipment and lessons on how to drive, and from there it’s off to the races!

Valentine’s day is about spending time with someone you love, and whether you’re having a traditional dinner and a movie, venturing out to the great outdoors, or trying something completely new, all of us at HYDAWAY wish you a very happy, healthy, and hydrated Valentine’s Day!
