We have compiled three unique ways to keep track of your daily hydration intake, to make sure that you’re drinking the recommended 64 ounces of fluid per day.

One of the simpler ways to keep track of how much water you’ve consumed is to simply write down how much water you drink. An easy way to do this is to keep a sticky note with three empty boxes on it. Once you finish drinking one 21 oz. bottle of water, cross out the box, or highlight it with another color.
There are a lot of printable tracking charts available online as well. An easy way to reuse one of these charts is to laminate it and use dry erase marker to keep track. That way, when the day is over you can erase the progress you’ve made for that day and start over new the next morning.

It seems that there’s an app for anything nowadays, and hydration tracking isn’t any different. There are numerous applications available to help you keep track of water intake and to help set reminders to encourage you to keep drinking throughout the day.
Phone apps can also turn what seems like a simple chore into a game. The hydration tracking app, Plant Nanny, compares your water consumption habits to that of watering a plant. The more water you drink, the more the in-game plant grows. This is a fun and adorable way to incentivize hydration.
Keep Track on a Water Bottle
An easy way to keep track of your water consumption is to set a deadline for certain amounts of water. Keeping track directly on your bottle is the easiest way to do so. For example, we put time markers on our HYDAWAY collapsible bottle to give us a set time to drink that much water.
If you don’t want to write directly on the bottle, another unique alternative would be to mark off segments of the bottle with washi tape or masking tape. That way when you are done, you can peel off the tape and reveal a clean bottle when you’ve finished drinking.
Staying hydrated can be as simple as leaving reusable water at your desk, in your purse, or in your car to remind you to drink more water.
